A Future and a Hope
Zechariah 8-9
As the Israelites were returning to the promised land, they were tasked with a vision to rebuild the temple Undoubtedly these were times of great challenge. God knew and spoke through his prophets. In Zechariah 8, God said, “let your hands be strong so that the temple may be built.” God spoke and Israel had a responsibility to respond.
God had and has a plan for Israel. Little by little, and prophecy by prophecy, God revealed his plan to bring the promised Messiah. The Bible explains how his plan was accomplished through broken humanity. God is still making plans for all people everywhere.
Zechariah 9:9 says, “Rejoice greatly, shout, see your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, riding on a donkey…”
God’s plan is for all people to come to know the Savior, Jesus.
