About Calvary Pathway

We are happy that you have come to learn more about us. Our church focuses on glorifying our Lord God Jesus Christ. We do this by worshiping Him through His Word, our music, and prayer. We are distinctive in our chapter-by-chapter, verse-by-verse teaching  through each book of the Old and New Testament. We believe in the whole counsel of God as given by the Holy Spirit. This is important for growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our church is strictly Jesus focused. Our mission is to walk His way, live His truth, and share His love by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. 
We encourage our people to get involved in community-based ministries. Threads of Hope and Bread of Life are just a couple of the local ministries. Calvary Pathway also supports Plateau Pregnancy Center, Crossville Mission Bible Training Center, the Joshua Fund in Israel as well as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). 

We also offer weekly Men’s and Women’s Bible studies as well as a Discipleship Class (discussion of various Biblical topics). These studies allow the folks to dig deeper into the lessons and Scriptures and discover the hidden gems of truth in GOD’s WORD as revealed by the HOLY SPIRIT.   ​So come and join us in person worship the Lord Jesus Christ with us. ​

Our Commission

Go therefore and make disciples of every nation, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I (Jesus) have commanded you, and behold I am with you, even to the end of the age”  (Matthew 28:19-20)

Our mission is to “Make disciples of all nations”.  In order to fulfill His mission, we each have been empowered by the Holy Spirit to: 

WALK HIS WAY: We yield to the Holy Spirit in humility, mercy and grace so that we too can receive power to follow our Shepherd as He leads us in the Way. LIVE HIS TRUTH: We live His truth as we bear the fruit of the Spirit, not for us, but for others. We live His Truth in love, not only in words but in the good works prepared beforehand by God that bring Him and only Him glory. SHARE HIS LIFE: We share His life by our personal testimony of our relationship with Jesus: what He has done for us, what He is doing in us and what he will do for the bride He loves, that is, how He will present her as a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that we should be Holy and without blemish.

History of Calvary Chapel

At a pivotal time in history, Pastor Chuck welcomed all, young and old, without judgment, into the local church. With a sincere concern for the lost, Pastor Chuck and Kay Smith made room in the church and their home for a generation of hippies and surfers, serving in the midst of a powerful movement of the Holy Spirit that spread from the West Coast to the East Coast and throughout the world.
In his ministry, he emphasized the teaching of the Word of God. In the wake of that move of the Holy Spirit, what began as a small local church grew into an international family of over 1700 churches around the world. Pastor Chuck’s simple, yet sound, expositional approach to teaching the Bible has helped millions better understand God’s Word.

Pastor Chuck went home to be with the Lord on October 3, 2013. Yet, the work that the Holy Spirit started with Pastor Chuck did not end that day; but, continues forth in this generation and the next as people continue to seek Christ, teach His Word and avail themselves to the direction and leading of the Holy Spirit.
